Please Note: precipitation is reported as "water equivalent" - the weather station melts the snow and it reports how much water that would have been as rain. Because snow can vary in density by quite a bit, 1mm of precipation could equal 0.5cm to 3cm of snow!
Also keep in mind that the station doesn't catch all of the snow, so in sheltered areas there can be up to 2-3 times as much depending on weather conditions at the time of snowfall
